I'm ready

 I'm ready for Fall.

There, I said it.

The weather is nice and cool this morning.

I want all the changing leaves and comfy sweaters.

I want all the pumpkin flavored everything.

I'm ready for it all.

I've been thinking about changing out my decor soon. I just have to get the bins out(and maybe buy a few new things)!

Here are a few inspiration pages to get us started:

Fall Outdoors

Truth?  We don't have much by way of outdoor living space.

A porch? No

Patio?  No

Deck? Veranda? Courtyard? No no no

One day we'll remedy that, but for now the extent of my outdoor decorating is a little planter box in the driveway.

More truth?  It usually looks something like this -

Sad :(

The pumpkins are the only thing cute about this picture.

But every once in a while I get ambitious!  (usually for fall and winter)  So now it looks like this -

Still not great but much better!!  All I added was a couple pumpkins, gourds, and some vines from the yard.  I got the little sign at the dollar tree a couple of years ago.  It seriously only took me about 15 minuted to set it up.  I don't know why I don't always make it cuter...maybe next year :)

I can't complain too much.  We have great views...

And, this guy was hanging around for awhile yesterday

Do you have a great outdoor living space?  What are your favorite ways to keep it cute?

Heather

Fall Decor

I feel so far behind this year.  I finally got my Fall decorations out!  I usually get this done sometime in September, but this year is just flying by and I only get it done last week!

Are you already decorated for Fall?  Please tell me I'm not alone.

On the flip side of the coin...I already have a plan for Christmas decor!  And I will hopefully have some time this month to work on a few DIY decorations.  I'll let you know!

For now...Fall :)

I kept everything pretty simple this year.

A few pumpkins...

A few faux flowers...

A few throws...

and call it a day!

XOXO,

Heather

Things I Think I LOVE!!!!

Hey everybody!

I know I have been MIA for quite awhile!  I don't know why but summer is always so busy for us.  I'm really going to try to post more from here on out!

Apparently I'm a slow poke with my fall decorating this year too.  I just started getting the house fall ready.  I am going to try to get some pictures this weekend and have a post next week.  I'm not really a Halloween person, but fall is my favorite time of year.  I love all the colors and the cold nights.

Today I have another Things I think I LOVE post.  There are so many good things out there right now!   I hope you enjoy!

Rain Boots - They give back with every order!  For every pair purchased, ROMA boots donates to a child in need.  Plus the boots are great.  It's a win win!  I have the Emma mid calf in yellow.  I don't see the yellow on their website right now but they have lots of good options!  I wear mine all the time.  They are comfortable and very durable!  The hardest part is picking which color to get!

Hair Dryer - So, I was getting ready for work a few days ago and my hair dryer died...it was a rough day for me.  My hair is natural straight except for one area.  so I walked around all day with one wavy spot.  I learned my lesson and will always have a backup hair dryer! This one is so good.  It's really strong and dries my hair in just a couple minutes!

Plush Knit tee - I was visiting my sister in Georgia a couple of weeks ago and we both ended up buying this top.  It is so soft and the sleeves are actually long enough!  I wear a large and my sister wears a extra small.  It looks great on both of us!  I think it is true to size for Old Navy.  This is going to be a regular for me through the fall.

Finally happy stories - I love reading happy news.  This is the sweetest story. 💗💗

Wall hung scroll - I am definitely going to buy this when we get around to giving the kitchen an update.  I just love lists and this is such a fun way to display them.

Have a great weekend!!

XOXO,

Heather

The Best Banana Bread and more fall baking!

Happy Monday!  Last week the weather in PA was so nice.  It was much cooler and less humid.  It has made me sooooooo ready for fall!

I have a confession...I LOVE fall.  Really, really love fall.  I love the weather, I love the colors, I love the decor, I love the fashion, I just love it all.

And, fall makes me want to bake.  Over the weekend I made my favorite simple Banana Bread.  This recipe is seriously so good and so easy!  Check it out:

Ingredients
Cream butter and sugar

Add wet ingredients
Mix until combined
Add dry ingredients and mix until combined
Put batter in a 9x5 loaf pan
Bake at 350 F for 1 hour
My trusty sidekick :)
Let cool slightly before removing from pan

Serve warm with a pad of butter and a glass of milk

Easy right??  Are you going to try it?

Cinnamon pumpkin muffins are on my mind for my next baking day! This will be a new recipe for me.  I'll keep you posted on how it goes.  Are you trying any new recipes for fall?? Let me know in the comments!

XOXO,

Heather
