Hi Everyone!!!
I hope you are all healthy and happy.
I am...and the pups are. They are not going to know what to do when I go back to work. I won't know what to do either! I'm gonna miss those little slobbery faces all day.
But I do hope life gets back to normal soon. As much as I love being home I do miss my family. But we are staying home to stay safe and try to help stop the spread.
In other news, we have a great crop of dandelion this year.
Just kidding...sort of.
We do let them grow and spread. The bees love them and I think they are cute. Plus Nate thinks they are delicious, especially with hot bacon dressing. But, in the wise words of my sister, What's not good with hot bacon dressing?
She has a good point.
I have so many projects in the works since I have been home. I am going to try to get some posts written this week to share what I've been up to. Keep an eye out!
Stay safe!
XOXO,
Heather

Bridal shower decor
Good Morning!!!
It is a glorious day here in PA. My sister was home a few weeks ago and it was so perfect, I could scream. She was home visiting and working on wedding stuff. She's getting married in June and there is a lot to do!
We had her Bridal shower while she was here and it was so fun!
We made the decorations from simple items and they all turned out great!
When I was working on the card hoop Nate came in mid wrap and asked me what I was doing. "wrapping a hula hoop with ribbon" HA. He loves my direct answers. :)
This is literally a branch out of a tree from my parents yard and dollar tree flowers. It's so easy. and I love the organic feel of it.
The balloon arch was so simple. Luckily we had about 6 people blowing up balloons. Or we would have been passed out on the floor! Haha. We just tied balloons to 2 different strings and twisted them together and hung them from command hooks. Simple and beautiful!
Do you have a party to throw this spring? Let me know if you need decor ideas!!

Heather

2020 Reading
I'm weird when it comes to reading...
Let me back up. I love to read.
Like, truly LOVE IT!!
If I could read all day every day I would.
But I'm weird in that I am always reading more than one book at a time. Right now I have 3 going. (4 if you count business books...which I don't. Super boring)
I keep one in my car that I read on my lunch break. Or if I get to an appointment early.
I keep one in the living room that I read when I'm not interested in what is on TV.
and I keep one on my nightstand that I read before I fall asleep.
I usually have read at least one of them before. So I don't get too confused. Also, they are all different genre's.
Right now I am reading Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates on my lunch breaks. It's not really my favorite, but I got it out of the free bin at 2nd and Charles. So I figured I would give it a chance. So far it is just pretty sad.
Unsweetined by Jodie Sweetin in the living room. I just stared this one. I like it so far. I'm a fan of memoirs. Mostly because I'm nosy and want to know about peoples lives. :)
The black dagger brotherhood's Lover Enshrined by JR Ward on my nightstand. This is such a great series. You really feel like you know all the characters. I would definitely recommend it if you like smut novels.
What are you reading? I am always on the lookout for new recommendations!

Heather

Organization and shopping!
Happy Wednesday!
This year we decided to organize our lives. The whole house (one small spot at a time) is getting in order. We’re going to finish projects that we started and not start anything new until they are all 100% complete! (this is truly wishful thinking…we never totally finish projects)
For my birthday we went to At Home for a shopping spree. I ended up getting some new stuff for our upstairs bathroom(among other tings).
a new shower curtain - I love love love this. The colors are so pretty in person. I was looking for a soft watercolor style curtain that wasn't just flowers. This one was perfect!
a new soap pump - this soap pump is super cute. And holds a ton of soap! The only down side is that is it clear and right now the soap we have is orange. So it seriously messes up my color scheme! Haha. Once I get to finishing this room I will get some clear or white soap. Easy fix :)
and a new toothbrush holder - we used to have a toothbrush holder that was more enclosed. It was impossible to clean. I had to let bleach soak in the bottom just to keep it kind of clean(I'm a lazy cleaner - so if I don't see dirt I don't clean it. Gross, but true.) This is so much easier. I just wipe it off when I'm cleaning the bathroom and it stays way more sanitary!
I love them all! Hopefully this will inspire me to finish this room soon. we have wallpaper to remove and a new (to me) mirror to hang.
I'm going to be sharing how our office is coming together soon! It's almost done. I can't wait to show you!!
What projects are you trying to check off of your to-do list?

Heather

New year new you?
Happy New Year!
Let me start by saying that I love the holidays…I really,
really do.
But, this year, it all felt like too much.
Maybe it was because we got Toast just after Thanksgiving
and everything is hard with a puppy, or maybe it was because I’ve had too many
years of too much, or maybe it was because Nate is getting his business up and
running (Prolaserworks.com Check it out 😉)and he was churning out orders right up until Christmas eve.

| A rare moment of peace |
No matter what the reason, I just feel like I need a clean
pallet.
I’m not really into resolutions. Do you like the New Year New You thing? I feel like it is just begging myself to
fail.
However, after the holidays (every year, not just this one
of “too much”) I have an urge to simplify and so this year I have one thought
for the new year…
Less indulgence.
In everything.
Stop eating until I’m stuffed, cut back the alcohol, no more
frivolous spending.
Do you make resolutions?
If you do or don't, I hope you make 2020 a great year!
XOXO,
Heather
